Jeff and I will be hosting a workshop this Sunday afternoon,
starting around 1 and going until late afternoon/early evening. The
woodworking workshop will be open. Bring your ideas or plans to
start looking at. If you don't have ideas, Jeff has some books that
you can look at. When people do start using equipment, Jeff will put
out a donation jar (or something) to help defray the cost of blades,
equipment upkeep, etc.

I checked with Jeff on camp bed materials (some of us have been discussing this
lately). The base takes 3 8' lengths of 2x4. If you want to make a camp bed,
bring these along and you might be able to get it done in one day. Let us know
ahead of time if this is in your plans.

On the sewing front, I'd especially like to invite those who
attended the fitting workshop, and would like help with the next
steps of their dress, or are stuck at a certain point. I won't be
doing a LOT of jumping about, with my back still being under
distress, but I can still do a fair bit of helping. If anybody wants to attempt
a fitting on a partner based on my web demo, I can supervise and help.

All are invited to work on a project, it doesn't have to be sewing
or woodworking. It just has to not let poison gasses into my home,
etc. etc. I do ask people to police their pins and other equipment,
as Henry is crawling - and FAST.

As the weather is getting nicer, we might as well take advantage of
the big yard. We have the space for archery, and if anybody wants to
come fight rapier or practice WMA, we have the space for that (and grass now,
too). Heck, let's just call it medieval play day, for both SCA and
LH.

NEWCOMERS: You are especially welcome. You don't need a project, you
don't need anything. If you want to just sit, chat, and watch,
that's great.

Anybody who wants to stay through dinner, please bring some food to
share. I can make a pot of spaghetti again if people are still here.
Heck, food is always welcome from anybody. :-)

Please contact me off-list for directions. We are generally located in Southern
MD, between La Plata and Indian Head.

See you Sunday!
Mathilde
