All directions are correct until the intersection of Route 646/Prospect Road
and Route 136/Whiteford Road. Directions should read TURN RIGHT onto Route
136/Prospect Road.

To make sure that there is no confusion I will post a large sign at this
intersection.

I have appended details of the alternate route from Her Excellency of Bright
Hills to avoid the Saturday road closure below. Be aware that the original
route may be closed as long as 0930-1100.

I would like to thank Baroness Cordelia for going out this evening to drive
the route so that we could post an estimated travel time and distances.

I have successfully navigated the alternate route from I-95 Exit 80 to
site. From the top of the ramp at the junction of I-95 North and Route 543
North it is approximately 18.5 miles to the left turn onto Peach Orchard
Drive. A apologize for the length involved, but I'm a visual driver who
likes to cue off both mileage and visual markers like traffic lights.
Having actually driven the route I have these clarifications:


(Again if the person hasn't turned onto Route 136 by 9:00 AM on Saturday, I
strongly urge them to use the alternate directions as follow.) 


>From I-95 North take Exit 80/Churchville-Riverside Stay to the left and at
the top of the ramp turn left at the light onto Route 543 North. The right
lane on 543 will become a right turn only lane just beyond the I-95
overpass. 


The first stop light one Route 543 after the I-95 overpass is at the Route
136 intersection and is about 1.9 miles from the top of the exit ramp.
Before 9:00 AM and after about 10:45 AM, take the right yield off and follow
the directions in the event announcement. 


Between 9:00 AM and 10:45 AM on Saturday continue as follows:
Stay straight on Route 543 North and go through the 136 intersection;
continue north on Route 543. You will go through two more minor
intersections marked by stoplights. The next traffic light will be the
intersection of Route 543 and Route 22 (approximately 5.7 miles from I-95).
Continue on 543 North through this intersection. You'll pass through
another traffic light and a blinking yellow light at the C. Milton Wright
High School. Keep going. The next light will be the junction of Route 543
and the Route 1 Hickory Bypass (about 8.8 miles from I-95 North), keep
straight on 543 North. The next light will be the intersection of Business
Route 1 and Route 543. Continue on 543 North. (There are no more lights on
543 before you turn off onto Route 646/Prospect Road.) Continue on Route 543
passing Route 440/Dublin Road on the right (you're getting close). Turn
right onto Route 646/Prospect Road. (Approximately 5.9 miles past the last
traffic light at Business Route 1 and approximately 14.7 miles from I-95.) 


Follow Route 646/Prospect Road for about 3 miles. At the intersection of 
Route 136/Whiteford Road turn left.


Follow Route 136/Whiteford Road for about 3/4s of a mile. Turn left onto
Peach Orchard Road and follow the signs to Camp Spenser. 


This route will add about 15 to 20 minutes to your total travel time
depending upon traffic and traffic lights. Please add this into your
equation.
