The area we are on is relatively flat like N18. But we are at the bottom of a long sloping hill that goes up Long Way. Gravity does its work as always. 

Ground Tarps are essential at Pennsic no matter where you are camped. Buy one that fits the entire bottom of your tent. Excess tarp can be folded under the tent.  Rain flys are a good idea too for modern tents if your tent does not come with one.
