[Ponte Alto] Northern Regional War Practice - Sunday 3 October

Greetings to the list.

In preparation for the upcoming Kingdom Crusades, a Northern Regional
War Practice will be held in conjunction with the Ponte Alto Fighter
Practice on Sunday, the 3rd of October.  Heavy fighting practice will
begin at noon.  Rapier practice will begin at 2PM.  Fighting will
continue until 6PM, or until we all drop from exhaustion!  Take what you
learned in your University classes the day before and put this
information to practical use!  Lord Abel Brem
(AbelofRegnesfolc at aol.com)is coordinating activities for the heavy
fighters.  This would be an excellent chance for members of the Queen's
Spears to practice unit tactics.  The heavy schedule looks like this:

Noon - 1pm: warm up with singles
1pm  - ?:  Melees
Divide all fighters into four teams (A, B, C, D),  
keeping those who normally fight together within the same group.  

The first set of 3 melees will be A and B against C and  D
The second set of 3 melees will be A and C against B and  D
The third set of 3 melees will be A and D against B and C
 
Time and engery permitting we will end the day with a set of bridge
battles.

Rapier activities will be coordinated by myself (afpopa at cox.net).  We
will focus on small unit melee tactics, and on unbalanced forces (large
unit vs. small unit) tactics.  There will also be plenty of space for
free sparring as well.
