Thanks for setting this up, Kat! I just wanted to add that in addition to the pattern paper and muslin, please also bring some basic sewing stuff: pins, scissors and a measuring tape if you have them.

  Greetings to the Barony of Ponte Alto:

   

  On Sunday the 17th of October at 12 noon, there will be a patterning workshop to help you in a few ways:

  1)     Create patterns for the outfits you see in portraits then fit them to you 

  2)     Modify a current pattern you have to fit you better

  3)     Modify a commercial pattern to fit you better and possibly add some historical hints.

   

  We have a staff of people to help both men & women. We will have myself, Lord James de Biblesworth, Mistress Guiliana Salviati, and Lady Perronelle la Pientre to help everyone with the fitting/modification! We all have experience in drafting patterns from time periods early to late.

   

  To optimize the individual assistance, we are limiting attendance to 10 people, men or women - just be one of the first!

   

  What you need to do:

  1)     Email me at katdevereaux at hotmail.com and include in your email:

  a.     Your Name & Phone number (in case we have questions)

  b.     Portrait you are trying to recreate/make a pattern from (either attach the picture or include a link)

  c.     Or that you need help modifying a pattern, either commercial or your own.

  d.     Be one of the first 10

  2)     I will confirm your attendance within 24 hours and let you know if we can help you look smashing at your next event!

   

  On Sunday, bring paper for patterns (freezer or brown paper works well), muslin or junk fabric for mock ups, and something to drink or munchies!
