[Ponte Alto] 12th night Baking and Brewing Competitions

 Greetings to the Populas of Atlantia!
 
 Lord Michel von Schonsee, the Royal Brewer and Lady Hrosvitha von Celle,
the Royal Baker would like to announce 3 competitions being held at Kingdom
12th Night, January 8th, 2005 being held in Stierbach (Manassa, Virginia).
 
1) Lord Michel and the Atlantian Brewers Guild are sponsoring a brewing
competition.  Prizes will be awarded in the following categories: beer/ale,
mead/wine, and cordials/exotics.  There will also be an open category for
novice brewers (i.e. gentles who have never previously entered a brewing
competition).  Judging will be done using the Atlantian Brewers Guild
Judging Standards. While documentation is not required, an ingredients list
is required.  Brewers will not be allowed to enter more than two entries per

will be in class divisions if the number of entries warrant it.

 2) Lady Vitha is sponsoring a Bread making competition.  The theme is
Non-wheat breads.  Please try your hand at using breads made from other
grains.  Wheat flour may be used as a secondary grain, but bread should be
noticeably not wheat based.  Any rising agent may be used.  Please supply
documentation for the ingredients in your bread.  For more details, please

number of entries warrant it.
 
 3) Lord Michel and Lady Vitha are co-sponsoring a dessert competition under
the theme of "Fruit".  The entry requires teams of 2 (one brewer and one
baker) to join forces and select a period fruit and to make a dessert pair
that compliments each other.  For the Brewers, any form of alcoholic or
non-alcoholic may be used.  For the Bakers, any period style dessert is
acceptable.  Documentation of the fruit is required.  Any other
documentation is encouraged.
