Greetings Good Cousins,

Alas, we missed the October Acorn date. I would greatly appreciate it if
you would take a copy of this flyer to your meetings, post it to your barony
websites, forward it to your barony lists or in any other way disperse it to
the people of your fair baronies. Thank you very much for your assistance
with this matter.

Sharing the Dream,

Oriana of Xylina
Baroness of Tir-y-Don

"Nympha est mammalia non piscis"

November 16 – Pilgrim’s Progress IV
Barony of Tir-y-don, Yorktown, VA

‘Twas a time of exploration and adventure upon the
high seas. The Barony of Tir-y-don invites all good
gentles to join us on our Pilgrim’s Progress as we
journey to new and exotic lands and meet strange and
wondrous people. But a word of caution: traveling on
the high seas can be dangerous, so be wary of random
acts of piracy.
So come all ye would be adventurers and set sail with
us. Let armored combatants and duelists alike take up
arms to determine who will lead the pirate invaders
and who will be the protector of our Dread Baroness.
Let those whose aim is true take up their bows to keep
the enemy at bay. For those quiet times, when the
seas are calm, we will play games and dance. Artisans
can impress the populace and pirates both with their
great works and win small tokens of treasure in order
to win the day.
And finally, as all journeys must come to an end, we
will celebrate with a feast to give thanks for our
safe and pleasant arrival (barring an appearance of
pirates).

Site: The site is St. Joan of Arc’s Church in
Yorktown, VA. The site is wet. It opens at 10am and
closes at 10pm.

Fighting: There will be a single elimination Main Mast
Tourney for heavy fighters to determine the team
captains. The teams will then prepare to defend their
ships from invaders. This will be a timed
resurrection melee. Rapier fighters will use the same
tourney formats. For archers, there will be a combat
archery scenario. Authorizations begin at 11, the
fighting at 12.

Arts/Sciences: There will be an open A&S competition
and display. Documentation is appreciated but not
required.

Cost: Please refer to the chart to determine the cost.

Before Oct. 31 At The Door

Hwy 17. Make a left at the McDonald's (17N/George
Washington Memorial Hwy). Go approximately 4 to 5
miles, going through two stoplights. You will see
church on the left hand side of the road. Turn on the
road next to the church (Harris Grove Lane). York High
School sits diagonally from it. If you get to it you
have gone to far.
