Barony of Ponte Alto

Greetings unto the populace of fair Atlantia from Her noble Barony of Ponte
Alto. Come one  come all to help us celebrate the 10 anniversary of this
fine barony and the investiture of  Ponte Alto's fourth Baron and Baroness,
Sir Thomas of Calais and Baroness Denise Duvalier.  It will be a day filled
with fun and festivities culminating in a delicious evening feast.

Fighting: There will be both heavy and rapier fighting but no archery due to
site  restrictions. The heavy tournament will be a rose challenge tourney in
matched weapons  forms. The winner of the bout receives a flower for the
lady who inspires him that day. To  win the tournament a fighter must
compete in at least three of the weapons forms. The same  style of
tournament will be held for the rapier tourney with the same rules for
victory.  Their newly coroneted Excellencies will also be picking both their
heavy and rapier  champions. If you are interested in competing for either
of these please contact their  Excellencies the morning of the event.

A&S: An A&S competition will be run with the theme being the baronial colors
of Ponte Alto,  black and gold. Also the baronial notables, baronial bard,
brewer, and artisan will all be  changing over as well. Please contact Lady

Silent Auction: Their Excellencies will be sponsoring a silent auction to
raise money to  bolster the local fighting community and aid in the
development of a Ponte Alto army. If you  have anything you want to donate
for the auction please contact Baroness Denise at (703)  643-1372 or by

Feast: Master Kevin of Thornbury will prepare a sumptuous feast. The menu
will pay homage to  Ponte Alto's Italian heritage.  Dietary concerns should

Site: Church of the Good Shepherd, 9350 Braddock Rd, Burke, VA 22015. Site
opens at 10am  Saturday February 23rd and closes at 10pm.

Cost: The cost for the event is $5.00 for day trip and $12.00 for onboard.
Children under 10  are half price, under 5 free. Please make checks payable
