appreciate your thoughts and your opinions on the contributions that non members
make. and i agree completely. however, as i have clarified before, my
comment was based solely on monetary contributions to the sca inc. of
which non members add nothing.

been reading all the letters and found that we are politicing again:+)

Your Majesty,

Please
forgive any rudness, but I do not agree with the statement "no they dont
contribute to the society." As a whole newbies contribute a lot to the society
bring in new faces, new thoughts, not to meantion all the volunteer work they
do to get to know people. I do agree however that a non-member should
pay a little more than a mmeber otherwise what would be the point of being a
member? If we as a populace sponsered a newbie and matched them up with a
person who shares thier interest, they would be come more involved then we
would have more membership. Everytime I attend an event I bring newbies with
me and they volunteer out of thier own good hearts and understand that they
have to pay the extra $3 to see what the game is like (of course I personally
cover thier extra $3 at the first couple of events).

Being new to this kingdom I personal have found it hard
to aproach people at events without volunteering for something. Now for me
that is a weird thing as I have the personality that bubbles....I always smile
and have a kind word people for people I meet. Also when I see the lost puppy
look I go over an introduce myself. Listening to new people at events I find
them leaving and never coming back because people don't stop and talk to them(
yes, I always tell them to give us another chance..surprisingly they do when
someone is kind to them). Now asking how do we know the new from the old? We
don't. So talking to a new face you have never seen could be a really cool
thing or talking to someone you've seen before but never talk to could be cool
too. BTW Your Majesty....on this paragragh I was not leturing to
you:+)

On this statment, "they pay no membership fees", your right they
don't, but as I have stated above if we encourage and make new people feel
welcome, get them involved with what we are doing, they will happily
join! if I have offend anyone I do humbly apologize. It just means we
need to relax and have more fun than
work.
