Victoria Pringle<BR><BR>Feast of the Thirty<BR><BR>On May 17-19, Falcon Cree
shall once again host the Feast of The Thirty. This <BR>year the event shall
feature a contest between England and France and their <BR>assorted allies
in the spirit of the Hundred Year War. The scenario for the <BR>day will be
Combat of the Thirties and the Siege of
Ploermel.<BR><BR>Fighting-<BR> On Friday night the Company
of St. Leo will host a torchlight pas <BR>beginning at 9 pm. All are welcome
to come and fight or simply cheer on their <BR>favorites. Prizes will be
awarded after judging by the Ladies Gallery.<BR> On
Saturday authorizations will commence at 10 am.<BR>Heavy - 3 Grand Melee
Team Battles, England vs. France (1 point each)<BR>Rapier - 3 Town uprising
Melees for control of the Town Gate. The combat <BR>amongst the lightly
armed citizens will begin as a tavern brawl, progress to <BR>street fighting
with the town constabulary and end with an attempt to seize <BR>the town
gate. (1 point each)<BR>Heavy - The assault on Ploermel, England defends the
wall and gate from <BR>France's attempts to siege by storm. Combat archers
are welcome to join in <BR>the fray. (1 point)<BR>Archery - England vs.
France - Crossbows vs. Longbows (1 point)<BR><BR>Arts and Sciences -
<BR>Garb 1300 - 1380<BR>Tabletop siege weapons - Three
categories<BR>Authenticity - Documentation required<BR>Accuracy and Distance
- Two foot by two-foot maximum footprint. The missiles <BR>will be standard
marshmallows.<BR>Best use of the lion (English) or fleur-de-lys (French)
