<BR>  I do not have soap stone but I do have a very large quantity of African Wonderstone. This is what Mistress Kynebur , Lord Andrew, and Lord Roland have recommended in place of soap stone. Wonderstone, although not authentic, is much easier to work and appears to be more forgiving when casting. Wonderstone is a bit pricey, $4-5.00 a pound, and can be ordered from  The Complete Sculptor. I would gratefully part with some of my order if you want. Mind you I would pass along the shipping cost per pound.
