the Salt"<BR>October 12-14<BR>VanHoy Campgrounds, Union Grove, NC<BR>Canton of
Baelfire Dunn<BR><BR>The Canton of Baelfire Dunn invites all to cast aside their
nobility and<BR>join us for a weekend "below the salt". This is a new site in
our fair<BR>Barony, and it<BR>promises to become a favorite.<BR><BR>We have many
activities planned from a Heavy Cambok Tourney, to a Rapier<BR>Scenario and
Target Archery straight from the days of Robin Hood.<BR>We have a special
Treasure Hunt planned for the children, one that big kids<BR>will want to
participate in!<BR><BR>The Arts and Science competitions will be Gypsy Styled
Encampments and<BR>Tasteful Unusual Parrying Items (must be handmade).<BR><BR>We
have planned lots of dancing and reveling for both Friday and Saturday<BR>night.
Please we want musicians of any skill level to please come! What<BR>would a
weekend with gypsies, pirates, thieves, tinkers and travelers be<BR>without a
little bit of celebrating! We have a huge covered arena to play in<BR>so bring
all of your music makers.<BR><BR>We also request that any merchant that reads
this to please come! Saturday<BR>promises to have many of us and maybe mundanes,
so please bring your finest<BR>to sell. You need to bring your own tables and
such, but we have a covered<BR>area for all to set up under. Please contact the
Autocrat for registration<BR>and<BR>questions.<BR><BR>Feast will be served
Tavern style with a first come first served policy.<BR>There will be vegetarian
and meat dishes available. Please bring your own<BR>feastware. There are also
several eateries nearby if you so choose. Any<BR>dietary concerns please contact

Campgrounds in Union Grove, NC. The site opens 5:00 PM<BR>Friday and closes
12:00 P.M. Sunday. It is a primitive site, with camping<BR>only. It is
handicapped excessable with showers and bathrooms<BR>available. Fires will be
allowed and firewood is available to purchase. This<BR>is also a wet site, no
original containers, please.<BR><BR>Directions: From 77 North and South turn off
on exit 65 NC Hwy 901 east<BR>(from north turn left, from the south turn right).

yards and the camp entrance will be on your left. Pull in<BR>and look for Troll.
There will be SCA signs posted.<BR><BR>Cost will be On Site = $7.00. Day Trip =
$5.00. Feast will be first come,<BR>first served. WE ARE NOT TAKING RESERVATIONS
FOR FEAST. Primitive tenting<BR>only, we will try to put groups together.
