records should never be kept digitally. In fact, <BR>many people, as far
as I know, are encouraging this. But the vast number of <BR>prior
records that Laurel has in storage mean that this cannot be an <BR>overnight
thing. And we are all volunteers at this. It has to be done in
<BR>people's spare time. If you want to help scan any of these prior
records in, <BR>I'm sure Laurel's office will take volunteers. ;-)

If we went to an all digital registration <BR>process, only those with
computers would be able to register names and <BR>devices. And only
those who were fairly comfortable with their computers, <BR>had access to
scanners, etc, or could compose drawings on a graphics software <BR>would
