the Shire of Caer Adamant as we pay homage to the original (in our
opinion) Scadian, Don Quixote del la Mancha, by invading the
neighboring Kingdom of Atlantia. The Southern Region of
the East has long endured Spring border raids from Atlantia, and this
year we invade to reclaim disputed livestock... specifically
sheep. </font></div>

<div><font face="Times New Roman" size="+1" color="#000000"> As
with any good border skirmish, there will be events of marshal skill,
in the form of a grand melee with a castle battle, a field
battle, and a woods battle. Not to mention both archery and
fencing war points. In the interest of including one and all,
there will also be 2 Arts and Science War points, a Bardic
"Talent Show" and a "Rattan
Chef" <span

></span> cook-off.
Pre-registration for the cook-off is required. Other activities
include a Medieval Equestrian demo, a championship tourney (to
determine the "Don"), a Siege Weapon display and shoot-off,
numerous arts and science classes and workshops and in keeping with
the precedent set by our current Queen, a judged arts and sciences
display. Bring your finished and in progress works. Not to
mention an open buffet style feast.</font></div>

the competitions:</font></div>
<div><font face="Times New Roman" size="+1" color="#000000">For all
war points you must declare which side you are competing for when you
sign in at troll. Fighters must also declare at the Marshals
pavillion.</font></div>

<div><font face="Times New Roman" size="+1" color="#000000">1.The cook
off (war point)- you must be pre registered and provide to the
autocrats a list of needs, not to include the food, that you
will need to prepare or finish the recipe. You will need to be
able to provide enough food for one course for 15 people. The
items must be documented and will be blind judged by the high table.

The Bardic Talent Show (war point)- You must register for this
competition at troll. The judging will be done by the by the
crowd throughout the day. Scoring will be done by collecting
beans from the crowd. The more you wander about singing, playing
, story telling, juggling or performing in any other way the better
your chances of you receiving more beans. The crowd can
vote as many times as they like. 50 beans will be given to each
person at the event. The top 3 contenders will have a
"Battle of the Bands" at feast to determine the
winner.</font></div>

Marshaled War points- This includes Heavy weapons, fencing, and
archery. The rules for these events will be posted at the event
and will be judged by the attending marshals. </font></div>

<div><font face="Times New Roman" size="+1" color="#000000">4.
Other Marshaled events- This includes all other heavy weapons battles,
the siege weapon shoot-off, other fencing and archery. Rules
will vary and be judged by the attending marshals. Some may
include prizes.</font></div>

Judged Arts and Sciences display- This will be judged by any and all
attending nobility based on the criteria of "best of show"
and "most authentic method."</font></div>

<div><font face="Times New Roman" size="+1" color="#000000">6.
The Shinning honor of the title "Defenders of the Dream"
will be awarded to a group of 3 people. The victor of the
Championship list, the gentle that they fight for, and the person
found to be the embodiment of the spirit of the
SCA. </font></div>

All of those with an intrest in participating in the Equestrian
portion of the day, MUST contact the Autocrat first, and are
subject to the approval of the Eguestrian Marshal.</font></div>

<div><font face="Times New Roman" size="+1" color="#000000">There will
be other games and adventures going on, including the legendary
"thieves wood."</font></div>

is Page's Farm in Port Deposit , Maryland. The site opens at
Noon on Friday the 11th and closes promptly at 8pm on Sunday the
13th. The fee for the weekend is $8 pre- registered and $10 at
the door, and includes a day board on Saturday. Day Fee is $4.
Children under 5 are free, under 12 is half price. Pre
registration is strongly recommended for the Feast (cost is $9) as
spaces are very limited. Pre registration cut off is May
1st, 2001. </font></div>

<div><font face="Times New Roman" size="+1" color="#000000">Make your
best route to I-95 north or south and proceed to exit 93 Port Deposit
/ Perryville to 222 north. This would be a right hand turn off
both the north and south bound exits. Continue straight on 222
north to the 275 north intersection. Continue north (straight
on)on 275 (as 222 turns left into Port Deposit) until it comes to a
"T" intersection with Rt. 276, this is about 2.2 miles
from the 95 exit. Make a right onto 276 and continue about 1.4
miles. The site will be well marked on the left. If you
see Toko Tires on the left you have gone too far. Turn around
and come back to the first driveway on the same side of the road as
the tire shop. The rout from I-95 will b marked from both exits,
and at each intersection. The entrance to the site will be
marked with both the Shire of Caer Adamant banner and the Barony of
Bright Hills banner.</font></div>
