Do you also question where and how the grocery store in which you shop spends their profits? I have never seen a more cost effective vacation than Pennsic. When you consider the services we recieve and the enjoyment that we find, it is an extraordinary bargain. To use the profits for the benefit of all is, I think, a wonderful idea. As to giving money to the needy people of the local community, I hardly see that as one of the goals of the SCA. We're having fun recreating the middle ages, educating ourselves and others in all aspects of the era. We are a non-profit educational/recreational group, not the Salvation Army.

<<I care because it's about ethics in management and the
impression SCA gives to those around us. And it's my
funds that pay for my Pennsic fees that evidently are
paying for this. I also care because I wonder whether it's money wellspent or money that could have gone as a contribution to the needs of the local community. Since my entrance fee is most likely helping with this
I have a right to ask. Rebecca>>>
