The University of Atlantia is coming to the fair lands of the Barony of
Windmaster's Hill on June 13! The in-person classes day of University is
Saturday June 13 from 9:00am - 6:00pm. (The online classes day is Sunday
June 14 from 1:00-5:30.) Location is the Ridge Road Baptist Church at 2011
Ridge Road, Raleigh, NC 27607 .
The University needs physical help on Saturday June 13! Please consider
volunteering some time to help the University run. These are the jobs
needing volunteers:
-- 3 physically capable volunteers to help put up pavilions in the morning
from 8:00 - 9:00am and take them down at 5:30pm. We have 3 volunteers so
far and we need 6.
-- A handful of volunteers to help produce a lunch service. The generous
Patronne Murienne L’aloiere has volunteered to lead the effort. It’s a
treat to work with her, and this is a simple project that just needs some
extra hands. (Tonight/Thursday May 21 at the Canton of Elvegast meeting,
Murienne and Rose will talk about this project.)
-- 3 more volunteers who can sit at Gate to assist Master Manus (Lead
Gate/Exchequer). We have 2 volunteers and we need 3 more.
-- 1 person to lead the effort to put up signs around the site (signs will
be provided.)
-- 2 physically able people to lead the effort to manage moving of chairs
and tables at the beginning of the day (between 8:00 - 10:00am) and at the
end of the day (5:30 - 6:30pm).
Remember the event, University of Atlantia, is FREE OF CHARGE! Donations
are welcome at the door. This is a free event, easily accessible in
Raleigh, NC, and easy to bring friends and newcomers to. Our Baronial
Chatelaine, Lady Odile and her husband Lord Charles are bringing the big
Gold Key trailer from Buckston to help make garb available to newcomers.
So, this is a great, easy event to bring your SCA-Curious friends to!
***Please email me, the Event Steward, Dame Sophia the Orange, if you can
volunteer to pitch in on any of these efforts. Please use orangesophie AT
gmail DOT com.

Sincerely yours
Dame Sophia the Orange, OL
