Noble friends,
Yesterday the History Blog featured a story about a *gullgubbe*, a type of
gold votive offering, that was unearthed near Klepp, Norway.
*Gullgubbes* are made from thin gold foil usually showing the impressed
image of a man, or in this case a man and a woman, often associated with
pre-Viking age religious sites or power centers across the Nordic world.
The majority have been discovered in Denmark. Only about 50 have been found
in Norway.
You can see the bling at https://www.thehistoryblog.com/archives/75664 .
