Noble Friends,

Yesterday Archaeology News posted a story about excavations in the Polish
town of Třebíč. The dig has revealed many artifacts dating from the town's
12th century origins. Several buildings have been identified, including a
smithy, a bakery, and a millet processing works.

The items recovered include parts of shoes. The most interesting is a
high-status shoe upper which still shows traces of gold decoration,
possibly the limited-edition Air Jordans of their day. High-status indeed!
