Noble Friends, especially Vikings,

Today Archaeology News is reporting on the discovery of a rare Viking-era
iron bracelet.

The item was discovered by a private individual on the Swedish island of Öland,
once a significant Viking trading center.

Such bracelets are well known in Sweden, but are usually made of gold or
silver. Only three other iron examples exist from Sweden. The iron is in
remarkable condition, thanks to its immersion in an oxygen-poor wetland.
