[MR] BBC: Death of Nottingham’s “Official” Robin Hood

Today the BBC announced the death today of Tim Pollard, who for many years
played the role of Nottingham's "Official Robin Hood".

Mr. Pollard became a popular figure in the city, and was one Nottingham's
biggest boosters. He also raised money for breast cancer charities after
his wife Sally's death from the disease in 2017. Ironically, his own death
was due to cancer.

Tim Pollard had a brief spot in the Robin Hood segment of Josh Gates'
Expedition Unknown, though as Josh's Nottingham role tour guide rather
than in his Robin Hood role. The outlaw was played by another actor in
scenes set in what is left of Sherwood Forest.
