[MR] Archaeology News: Secret Tunnels Under Sforza Castle

Noble friends,

Today Archaeology News is reporting on a project to map secret tunnels
beneath Sforza Castle in Milan.

With ground penetrating radar and other techniques researchers mapped a
tunnel connecting the castle to the nearby Basilica of Santa Maria della
Grazi, which contains the Sforza family tombs. Previously unknown defensive
features, lost rooms and a possible escape tunnel were also located. Some
of the features are shown in sketches by Leonardo da Vinci, though there is
no proof he was involved in their construction.
