Noble Friends,

Wikipedia's "Featured Article" for today is all about medieval cuisine.
While there are many books, both contemporary and period, about medieval
foodways and cookery are available, this article provides a nice summary.

The story has many internal links to other Wikipedia pages, and there is a
generous bibliography. In addition, there are external links to a number of
online books, articles and exhibitions.

Perhaps of greatest interest to me are the 18 illuminations, most with
their source identified (if not, then just click on them down to the root
page for information on their origins). These illuminations provide a
gateway to more useful artwork, and are, of course, in the public domain.

There is certainly enough material here to keep a medieval foodie happy for
several evenings.
