Noble Friends,

Today BBC Reel is offering a video about Kalaripayattu, said to be the
oldest martial art form in the world.

Kalaripayattu is a traditional form of fighting from Kerala state on
India's west coast. It involves long years of childhood training in bodily
poses, leaps, and strenuous moves which have a great deal in common with
traditional Indian dance forms. Then the students are taught hand-to-hand
combat, stick fighting, punch daggers, sword-and-shield, and a curious whip
sword.

You can watch the video at

Yours Aye,

Lord Mungo Napier, Laird of Mallard Lodge 🦆
