Noble Friends,

My apologies for the confusion. In the third paragraph I said, "Needing
something for his 4th son Philip the Bold to do, Charles passed Burgundy to
him in 1363." Wrong king! It was John who passed Burgundy to Phil.

I reread the original post three times before I hit send, but that gaff
escaped me. I plead a mild form of ADHA. I wonder how I survived seven
years as a military journalist, but these things do seem to be getting
worse as I get older. (Sigh!)
