Today the BBC is offering a story on the discovery of a miniature Bible
found by a metal detectorist near York. The tiny object is solid gold,
about 1/2-inch long, and engraved with images of Saints Leonard and
Margaret, both associated with childbirth. This suggests it might have been
a talisman for protection during labor, and would have been owned by a very
wealthy person:
