Noble Friends, Especially Fellow Scots,

Today the BBC has a brief feature on 360 medieval human bodies which were
unearthed as the Edinburgh tram system expands to Leith (Edinburgh's
medieval port). The remains are from a church cemetery which extends under
a road where the tram tracks will be located.

During the archaeological investigation of the cemetery, digital scans were
taken from a number of skulls. University of Dundee graduate students then
created facial reconstructions. Two examples are shown with the BBC story,
a man and a woman. Actually they look like people you would meet while
shopping at the local Sainsbury's except that the woman is shown with a
*kertch*, a head scarf customarily worn by most married Scottish women (a
very sexist mark of shame for having "known sin").

Yours Aye,

Lord Mungo Napier, Laird of Mallard Lodge 🦆
