Noble Friends, Especially Bibliophiles (aka Book Geeks like Me):

Today the History Blog reports that the Bodleian Library has acquired a
very rare book casket. The object is a leather-covered wooden box intended
to protect a valuable book. On the inside face of the lid is an equally
rare French woodcut print. The print maker is well known, and the woodcut
is a copy of a 1491 illumination by the same artist.

Text and see photos of the casket are at

Yours Aye,

Mungo Napier, Laird of Mallard Lodge 🦆
