BBC TRAVEL is offering a brief story and photo tour of the al-Ayn hammam or
bathhouse. The underground spa originally served Muslim pilgrims visiting
the Dome of the Rock and the al-Aqsa mosque and first opened in 1336.
Recently restored and managed by al-Quds University, al-Ayn is the last
hammam in Jerusalem.
