[MR] History Blog: Wild Boars Find Coin Hoard

Noble Friends,

This is one for the Odd Box, as our British friends say. Wild boars rooting
about the Slovakian woods uncovered a huge coin hoard. It was spotted by
some hikers who had the presence of mind to guard the treasure until
archaeological authorities arrived. The result was a nearly clean dig, and
some 1,600 gold and silver coins recovered, along with their container and
some cloth fragments.
