Noble Friends, Especially Clothing Mavens

BBC Travel has done it again. Today they are offering an exquisitely
produced text/photo/video production, "The Last Velvet Merchant of Venice".
The show concerns Luigi Bevilacqua Company, which has been producing
hand-woven fabrics since 1499:

.

The show is a visual treat of lovely colors, clacking antique looms, and
bobbing gondolas (with the occasional modern "vaporetto" water taxi
stirring up a wake). And then there are the perfectly lovely views of
Venice, surely the most intriguing city in the world. Enjoy the show.

Yours Aye,

Mungo Napier, Laird of Mallard Lodge 🦆
