Here is the schedule for what might very loosely be called “Performing
Arts” at Ice Castles, by which I mean everything that potentially involves
an audience and is not static, martial, court, feast, or incidental:

Morning - PALIO RACES – location TBD

Same rules as the races at Twelfth Night, except not as formal and we won’t
be on carpet. Bring your own hobby horse or borrow one from Black Diamond’s
stable! Time(s) and location will be announced on site.

Noon - 1:30 pm OPEN DANCING AND OPEN DANCE BAND - main hall

Anyone is invited to dance, be in the dance band, or both! Maybe even at
the same time!

2pm CULTURE CLASH FASHION SHOW- main hall

Ever thought about wearing your Viking garb with your French cap? How about
your 15th century Italian Ren with your 10th century shoes? Here's your
chance! Wear as many articles of clothing from different cultures and SCA
time periods as possible. Yes, all at the same time! Strut your stuff at
the 2pm culture clash fashion show to win. Entrants must provide
documentation at troll by 1:30pm. It's best to write it up at home and
bring it to the event. Documentation will be read to the audience, so make
it fun. Documentation must include:

Your name,

Each article of clothing with its culture and time period,

Anything to aid the judges (humor, stories about why you are wearing all
these different clothes, etc.) Please do not give us more than what can be
easily read in three minutes as you walk the runway. Prizes go to the top
two models: Replica Nishapur, Persian pottery handmade by Mistress Azza al
Shirazi.

2:15ish - 2:45ish - PERFORMANCES – main hall

Following the Culture Clash Costume Contest, there is a need for performers
of all kinds to entertain the audience during judges' deliberations.

2:45ish – 3:30 pm – MORE DANCING – front porch (weather permitting)

The oracles are predicting mild temperatures and little rain, so I’m going
to officially plan for additional dancing on the front porch (outdoors and
out of the way) using bard-in-the-box as the real bards transition the
great hall in preparation for open bardic.

3:30 pm – 5 pm – OPEN BARDIC FOR ALL (singers, musicians, storytellers,
etc. and listeners)

Feast – PERFORMANCES DURING FEAST. Contact Master Johann von Solothurn if
interested.

Some folks have asked about dancing after feast. If interested, follow
around Master Stefan Cambion. If there is time, you will find dancing there.
