Unto Their Majesties Amos and Kara, King and Queen f Atlantia, and the Their Highnesses Dietrich and Una, Prince and Princess and to all Atlantia does Baroness Wynne ferch Rhodri send greeting and a report.

On tenth day of February, in the Barony of Bright Hills, Their Majesties Amos and Kara, held court. As it was the barony’s birthday, Their Majesties welcomed all who attendee and gave let to Baron Kollach and Baroness Rebecca to hold a baronial court before royal court.
When many worthy Bright Hillians were given awards and recognition, Their Majesties continued Their court. First called was Lord Faolan Mac Raghnail forward, but the roads form his home to the hall was mired in mud and the sky threatening snow. It was decided to wait upon his arrival to face Royal justice.
Amelia Rosa Clerk Signet of Atlantia was called before Their Majesties and after extoling her skills as scribe and Clerk made her a Baroness of the Court of Atlantia. There were many cheers and Mistress Martel von Charlottenburg lent Baroness Amelia the coronet from her head to wear for a while.
Finally, after months of secret planning, scheming and much baking, Countess Rowan Berran McDowell came into court at their majesties request. The Countess entered The Presence by asking if more largess was needed, to which King Amos replied that this is typical of her and greatly appreciated. He then went on to describe the Countess’ skills in making prayers beads, in teaching the skill and in sharing her handiwork with Crown and populace. Whereupon he turned to this Herald And bade her call forth the Order of the Laurel, which led to much applause, cheering and many. many relieved friends.
As soon as court was ended, King Amos and Queen Kara led Countess Rowan to her vigil tent to contemplate joining the Order and to receive advice and kind words form those in attendance.

However, Their Majesties were troubled about their one subject. Could robbers have way-laid him? No, Their Excellencies Kollach and Rebecca along with the peoples of Bright Hills kept the roads clear of such riff-raff. Did it a predicted blizzard keep him from crossing the mountain passes? No, we weren’t it by the mundane world. Fortunately, as soon as he arrived, his Laurel Master Richard Wyn led him to Their Majesties as they were on the archery field. After admonishing the young man Lord Faolan was made a member of the Coral Branch for his bardic skills. The day, though cold and damp, warmed immediately upon the reception of the award.

Towards evening, before a Bright Hills feast was to begin, their Majesties held court once again. Once again, Their Excellencies of Bright Hills were given leave to hold court. Many of that illustrious populace were given awards and recognition for their skills and deeds.
Afterwards, Royal Court began. Caius Balthazar Silvano was called forth, and for his service in helping with set-up and tear-down at events, retaining, and fighting skills, was ennobled with an Award of Arms.
The children of Atlantia were brought before the thrones and after waiting as patiently as possible, did follow, chase, and capture the holder of the children’s treasure box.
Harper An Cu, who treats all to lovely harp playing at any and all times of an event was brought before the Crowns of Atlantia and she received an Opal for her continued service to the Kingdom and serving as Bardic Champion. But she was not allowed to leave, as her escort, Lughaidh O Murchada, was ordered to move closer to the thrones. For his service to Atlantia he was awarded supporters for his Arms to be decided upon later by himself and a member of the College of Heralds.
There were many newcomers attending the Bright Hills Baronial Birthday and they were warmly welcomed by both Their Majesties and Their Excellencies, receiving tokens and gifts, and encouraged to return to future events.
Aiden of Bright Hills, a fine archer of the barony received the Yew Bow for always hitting his mark and representing the Kingdom wisely and well.
And finally, after spending many hours in contemplation, Countess Rowan Berran McDowell was called in to court. She was questioned as to her decision to enter the Order of the Laurel. Affirming her desire to join the Order, she received words of high praise and commendation from notable kingdom worthies; all of whom counted the Countess as their peer already. A medallion was presented as well as a hood adorned with the Laurel Wreath, the oath given by Her Excellency and its return oath from the Crown made for a moving ceremony and then were sent up many “Vivats” and cheers, and much applause for the newest member of the Order of the Laurel, Mistress Rowan Berran McDowell.
Court was brought to a close and the hall set for feast. A fine feast if I must say so myself. It was, hoped that all who attended returned to their homes safely, and plans began for next birthday.
This is a true account to the best of my ability. If any should find fault or need correction, please notify this Herald privately.
