Noble Friends, Especially Vikings and Fellow Scots:

Today BBC reports on the possible disposition of an important Viking
hoard found in Scotland in 2014. I suspect most of us don't care much
about which museum gets to display the artifacts. Of more immediate
interest are three photos of the treasure posted with the story. They
show objects being removed from the soil, an uncleaned cross, and the
mysterious bronze pot that was part of the hoard, all lovely items and
worthy of a peek:

Shortly after the hoard was discovered, the bronze pot was given a CT
scan to help plan its opening and conservation:

was later opened and some of the objects inside were photographed and
shown on the BBC:

Yours Aye,

Mungo Napier, Laird of Mallard Lodge
