Noble Friends,
On this date in 1536, death claimed Sir John Seymour. He was the father of
Jane Seymour, and had enjoyed a distinguished career as a courtier and
knight under both Henry VII and VIII:

The Seymour arms are refreshing in their simplicity.
Sir John Seymour is buried in the Parish Church of St. Mary, Great Bedwyn,
Wiltshire. Sadly, although the Wikipedia article describes his tomb it does
not include a photo. I've taken care of that oversight for you (the taller
of the two tombs): http://www.britainexpress.com/counties/
wiltshire/churches/Great-Bedwyn.htm . Among the photos are two additional
detail views of the same tomb, plus some other details of this lovely
medieval church for you to enjoy.
Yours Aye,
Mungo Napier, Laird of Mallard Lodge
