Noble Friends,

According to an article on the BBC, the 14th century De Vere House in
Lavenham is for sale. Asking price? Just short of £1 million! The Grade
I listed house is truly lovely, and extremely historic. It was also used
as Harry Potter's birthplace in HARRY POTTER AND THE DEATHLY HALLOWS.
Photos and the story are at
http://www.bbc.com/news/uk-england-suffolk-40923579 . For more photos
see

.

The estate agent's page on De Vere house offers some detailed photos and
more information:
https://www.carterjonas.co.uk/house/for-sale/lavenham/mel170078 . The
building is apparently also known as Oxford Cottage, 59 Water Street in
the Grade Listings (it seems to be an amalgamation of two houses):

.

Lavenham is said to be the best preserved medieval town in Great
Britain: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lavenham .

If you have a bit of spare change burning a hole in your pocket, you
could own this magnificent building.

Yours Aye,
