Unto their most noble Majesties Cuan VII and Signy, King and Queen of fair Atlantia and its most excellent populace does Baroness Wynne ferch Rhodri, Blue Shark Herald and fortunate citizen, send greetings and a report…

On a cloudy yet pleasant Saturday, the 15th day of that month, an event was held to test the mettle of Atlantia’s rapier, archery and thrown weapon communities. Others were welcomed to participate in carious games and contests, the favorite being the Lochmere Signature Drink contest, or peruse the wares of not too few merchants.

It was during the early evening, when all were ready to lay down arms, drinking vessels and close their purses, that Their Majesties called their people together so they might sit in state and dispense royal justice to all.

As soon as all were seated, Baroness Evelyn Merrymet of Black Diamond spoke about the upcoming Knowne World Dance and Music Symposium, 15-18 June to be held here in Atlantia; more precisely in the little mundane village of Timonium, Maryland. And as this Herald believes dancing is good for the heart, mind, body and soul, here is the ethereal site http://www.kwds.org/. This is the only time the Symposium will be held within easy distance of most of Atlantia and it is hoped that a mighty contingent of its populace will attend and enjoy.

With that said their Majesties welcomed all the Newcomers into court and invited the sitting coronets to also attend them in welcoming those who will fill our ranks with new blood, ideas and skills.

Their Excellency’s of Lochmere were given leave to hold a baronial court and that will be reported by their own herald as will be the court of the Excellency’s of Bright Hills.

Their Majesty’s were now most ready to hold a magnificent royal court and started it off with the Pearl scroll for Baroness Avice. She had been welcomed into the Order of the Pearl at Coronation.

There followed many awards for deeds and service…
An Award of Arms to Angelo Di Marino, for teaching the fiber arts in both Lochmere and Bright Hills.
A Hippocampus to Caius Balthazar Silvano an indispensable worker for the cooks as he hauls supplies, washes dishes, set-up and cleans up for his folk.
An Opal for lady Anne d’Evreaux (Caius mother) for her contributions to the equestrian community.
A Coral Branch to Lady Adrianna Michaels. She has been Royal Baker, and her skills in baking, research and teaching has enriched the Kingdom and its waistline.
A Coral Branch was also given to Lady Vadoma who won the Kingdom Arts and Sciences Pentathlon and for her skill in embroidery and the teaching that beautiful skill.
Opals also went to the following: Lord Hannus Siltnen, who excels in bardic performances and archery; Lady Sanada Katsumi for not only running archery shoots but also hand painting 100 archery targets used by competitors; and Baroness Tatiana Ivanova, who provided the Kingdom with over 500 scroll covers and is ever present to assist at troll whenever needed.
An Award of Arms went to Eryn Meadows, who retains for their Excellency’s of Lochmere, sets up and tears down sites and sings most wonderfully in the Laydes Faire singing group.
Katla Flokadottir also received an Award of Arms as she seems to always be in the kitchen for Lochmere, or acting as chronicler, or is learning to scribe and doing all these things with a smile.
A pause was taken in court as a mystical communication device was employed to announce this next award. As the recipient was not at the event and their Majesties dearly wanted to give this honor, the wondrous far-speaker of old was employed by Baroness Daniela and given with great reverence to their Majesty’s. On the other end was Lady Katarzyna Witkowska and while all waited in breathless silence King Cuan and Queen Signy announced that she was to be a Baroness of the Court of Atlantia. I have it on good authority that there were tears shed by the new Baroness and all assembled gave good and hearty cheers for this fine lady. She has been Poeta Atlantiae twice, has led our children into a new appreciation of reading and writing poetry and provides children’s activities in Atlantia and at Pennsic War.
These next two were to be brought up and given children’s awards as the work ethic and cheerful dispositions have brought then to their Majesty’s attention; Gabriel von Regensburg received a Hippocampus and Ysabel Aranda received the Arielle. But the Crowns of Atlantia were not satisfied with only those awards. Indeed after finding out that Gabriel serves his barony in fetching and carrying, clean-up and bad jokes with a smile and Ysabel has through her kind consideration of all, her completion of any and all tasks assigned to her especially the dishes both were ennobled with an Award of Arms. Both were cheered loudly and left court with broad smile and proud parents.

Now this last award…what can your poor Herald say…or type? Such a deed has not been done in her presence nor in anyone’s in all of Atlantian memory, but it seemed meet and right to the monarchs of Atlantia. Baron Kryss Kostarev was called into court. We all know Kryss, he is every where; as a herald, a chirurgeon, an archery marshal, knows his way around numbers as an exchequer, and was chronicler for Stierbach. With all that service, it was only right that the Order of the Golden Dolphin be called in to welcome their newest member. There was a resounding AYE when asked to accept Baron Kryss and many hugs and back thumping, yet not satisfied with this honor, His Majesty then proceeded to call in the Order of the Pelican. OH MY you should have seen now-master Kryss’s face. It was such a thrill to watch so deserving a subject receive his due. The medallion was from King Cuan himself and he stated that Master Kryss was to sit vigil at Ruby Joust so as to receive advice and encouragement from his fellow Pelicans.

With words of thanks and encouragement to attend a feast whose aroma was gently wafting on the breeze, Their Majesty’s closed Their court and set about the enjoyment of the upcoming evening.

This is a true account to the best of my ability. If there are any corrections please contact me privately.
In service I am,
Baroness Wynne ferch Rhodri
