Noble Friends,
Today the BBC reports on the reopening of the Lord's Garden at Nantclwyd
y Dre in Ruthin, Wales:
http://www.bbc.com/news/uk-wales-north-east-wales-36349214 . This walled
garden dates from at least 1282.
Nantclwyd y Dre is a historic house, thought to be the oldest in Wales.
The building, and the attached garden, are now a museum. Wikipedia
offers an interesting site devoted to Nantclwyd y Dre, with many photos
of artifacts and features of this fantastic medieval survivor:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nantclwyd_y_Dre . A selection of more
images in a photo tour can be seen at
https://www.denbighshire.gov.uk/en/visitor/places-to-visit/museums-and-historic-houses/nantclwyd-y-dre.aspx
. Click on the main photo to find the whole tour, and take special note
of the post bed with the lovely green hangings (the next-to-last photo).
Yours Aye,
Lord Mungo Napier, That Crazy Scot
