Noble Friends,

I'm sure most of us have dreamed at some point of being lord/lady of our
own castle. Castles come on the market in England from time to time, and
for someone with deep pockets ownership is a possibility. Of course, you
might only be able to afford some ruins. Here's a selection from the BBC
to ponder: http://www.bbc.com/news/uk-england-36256391 .

Sorry, no titles of nobility come with these castles. Of course, such
titles are also for sale, since many nobles have more titles and they
can . . . uh . . . count, and are often ready to shed one or two for
some ready cash.

When I get rich, my dream is to rebuild my real ancestors' Kilmahew
Castle west of Glasgow, one of the Napier family seats. The building was
allowed to fall into ruin in the late 19th century by non-Napier owners,
and is currently owned by the Catholic Church:
http://www.clannapier.org/album/kilmahew1.htm#bottom . Purchase and
restoration by yours truly are currently on hold pending a major lottery
win.

Yours Aye,

Lord Mungo Napier, That Crazy Scot
