*11:00 - 12:00 Demonstration of All Performing Arts done in Atlantia* - a

in the SCA. Much more than just a solo singer with guitar, performers
throughout Atlantia research and recreate an extensive variety of
performing arts from Group Theater to magic illusions. This hour will
showcase the spectrum of performing arts pursued by SCAdians in Atlantia
including but not limited to singing, instrumental music in groups or by
soloists, use of period instruments and modern, Shakespeare performances,
other theater performances, storytelling, and much more.

members of i Firenzi will present an introduction of the performance
elements that define commedia within the scope of SCA period study
including stock characters, scenarios, improvisation, masks, costuming,
staging, and culture. By the end of this half hour, audience members will
understand the basic context of how commedia style plays fit into Italian
Renaissance society in period and how they fit into SCA recreation. The
audience will then be prepared to understand and enjoy the following
performance by i Firenzi.
