Today BBC Culture is featuring an analysis of "The Garden of Earthly 
Delights", a famous depiction of Hell by Hieronymus Bosch. You've all 
seen this grotesque painting in books and online, and no doubt remember 
its bizarre and images of torture and madness. This article highlights 
and attempts to explain some of the weird images, beginning with the man 
who has music tattooed across his butt (it is real music) and is being
