Noble Friends,

On this date in 1429, Joan of Arc arrived at Orleans and entered the
city. Her arrival began the unraveling of the English siege. The rescue
of Orleans was the first major French victory since the debacle at
Agincourt in 1415, and shifted the advantage to the French for the
remainder of the Hundred Years War:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Siege_of_Orléans . Yes the Scots were
there with the Maiden. Her vanguard included a significant number of
Scottish archers and men-at-arms.

Yours Aye,

Lord Mungo Napier, That Crazy Scot
