Noble Friends,
Today the BBC has a fascinating piece about a plait of hair found during
the 19th century in a casket buried beneath Romsey Abbey, a church near
Southampton. The hair is thought to belong to Saint Morwenna who was the
first abbess here or Saint Ethelflaeda, who is the patron saint of the
church. Analysis of the hair suggests the hair likely dates to the 10th
or 11th century, but so far there is no proof it belongs to either of
these obscure Saxon saints: http://www.bbc.com/news/magazine-36094897 .
Yours Aye,
Lord Mungo Napier, That Crazy Scot
