Noble Friends,

Today the BBC is offering a brief video piece on current research at
Glastonbury that suggests the monks used some pretty tricky PR skills to
popularize their abbey to pilgrims. The research debunks the myth of
King Arthur's grave and suggests they backdated the story of the abbey's
founding: http://www.bbc.com/news/uk-34917890 .

The report doesn't mention the tug-of-war with Canterbury over who had
the real relics of St. Dunstan. Canterbury won this one when the
Archbishop ordered Dunstan's tomb opened to prove the point.

Yours Aye,

Lord Mungo Napier, That Crazy Scot
