[MR] Pennsic Announcement: Thugs for Jugs - A breast cancer rapier charity tourney

To our most serene and mighty, Amos and Ysabella, by the grace of god,
king and queen of Atlantia.  To our wise and fierce, Ragnarr and
Lynette, by right of arms, prince and princess of Atlantia.  To all
subjects of Their Majesties and to all those skilled in the arte of
defense.

Pray attend.

It gives me great pleasure to announce the continuance of a Pennsic
tradition near and dear to so many in our great kingdom.  The Free
Scholars of the Academie de Espee of our great kingdom are hosting the
eighth annual rapier tournament to raise funds and awareness for
breast cancer research at a half past 3, on the nine and twenty of
July, upon the rapier lists.  (3:30 PM, on July 29th)

The format will be triple elimination, with progressive weapons forms
following Atlantian rapier conventions. Combatants start first with
Single Sword. Upon taking a loss, the combatant may take up a
defensive secondary. Upon taking a second loss, the combatant may take
up an offensive secondary. Upon taking a third and final loss, the
combatant will take heed on the need to learn to parry, and watch
their fellow combatants strive to bring glory and awareness towards a
most noble and important cause.

A donation of at least $5 will be required to compete, though all are
welcome to support this important cause.

The winner and finalist will be awarded a drinking vessel worthy of
their great feat of strength, as well as libations appropriate for the
age of the victor.  All funds raised will be donated to a breast
cancer charity of the winner's choice.
