Greetings Friends,
I would like to take a few moments of your time to send a missive of great
thanks to those who were on staff this past weekend and to those who just
jumped in where they saw fit.
First and foremost, I would like to thank my deputy event steward,Morgaine
Ferguson<https://www.facebook.com/ivy.pandora?directed_target_id=259888822353>.
She has served beside me with grace and contagious enthusiasm. To our feast
steward, Mistress Tegan de
Moreton<https://www.facebook.com/tegan.demoreton?directed_target_id=259888822353>
and
her staff Baron Norton of Helsfjord, & Lord Ingvarr Erlingsson, who made
sure that no one left the feast hall hungry. I owe a great big thank you to
Lord Draco of Brockore Abbey who showed up on site with his brother, Darius
and a newcomer Jackson not very long after I arrived. These guys,
especially Draco, helped me do some of the things that I would have had a
hard time doing by myself--putting the signs in the hard ground, spraying
cabins with bug spray, running errands and basically anything he thought
needed to be done. This was on top of him running the MOL table all day
Saturday, and Draco always had a big smile the whole weekend. To my
marshals, Lord Robert the Banished, Baron Olaf Starkadsson & Baroness Aldis
Svansdottir, Lord Elphin ap Daffyd, Lady Magdalena Woderose, without your
generous offers to marshal. Thank you to Dame Morwenna Trevethan & Lady
Iollan o'Glencairn for making sure everyone stayed hydrated and there in
case of any emergencies, thankfully we had none. I would also like to thank
Mistress Alisoun MacCoul of Elphane for keeping the reservations straight
and sitting as the gate keeper for most of the event. I would like to also
say a very special thanks to Lady Bridget O'Shay and her daughter Amanda
O'Shay for decorating the feast hall and helping out in so many other
areas. Lady Isabella daughter of Arabella, Lord Duncan MacEwan atte
Mersche, & Lord Trystan ap Morgan for helping with pre-event preps, and
Katherine of the Doves for helping with set up and other activities during
the event.
And last but most certainly not least, Her Majesty Ysabella
Cacemoine<https://www.facebook.com/pamela.raymor?directed_target_id=259888822353>,
for Her very generous donation of embroidery supplies to the children not
only of The Mountain, but all that came to visit on Saturday. The kids had
a great time learning how to do the very simple stitches and were very
impressed that their Queen thought of them even though she was needed
elsewhere.
In Service to the Dream,
Lady Asta knarrarbringa
