Noble Friends, Especially Fellow Scots,
Today BBC Scotland had a story on Rait Castle: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-highlands-islands-22351386 . Rait Castle is said to be haunted by the ghost of a young woman without hands. You have to read the story to find out why.
Unlike many Scottish castles, which tend to be blocky towers, Rait Castle is a Norman hall castle, and has some striking architectural features, especially the domed tower and the sandstone window traceries. There are many web site dedicated to this castle, and to sweeten the pot for this posting, I chose one of the best. You will certainly enjoy the selection of photos, and can also read the other historical features by using the menu at the upper left: http://www.saveraitcastle.org/photos_new.htm .
Yours Aye,
Lord Mungo Napier, The Archer of Mallard Lodge
