Come down south to help the Barony of Hidden Mountain celebrate our 29th
birthday! A full weekend of fighting, arts, games, bardic, archery, thrown
weapons & more is planned! Their Excellencies will choose Champions from
the populace of Hidden Mountain for: Armored, Rapier, Archery, A&S, and
Bardic. Baronial Champion contenders must enter at least one competition
related to their field and a category in A&S. Those vying for the champions
in the arts must compete in two different categories, including open d
isplay.

Heavy Fighting- There will 4 separate tourneys for heavy. One for each of
the weapon forms, Weapon and shield, double weapon, great sword, & poles.

Rapier- “Top of the Mountain” tourney scenario. A small ring (about 4 feet
in diameter) will be demarked on the ground. The object is for challengers
to either kill the topper or get him or her to step completely out of the
ring (off the mountain top) upon which time the challenger will take his or
her place. “Completely out of the ring” is defined as having no foot inside
the ring. A slight rise of a foot while one foot is outside the ring is
permissible but both feet touching ground not completely inside the ring is
considered “Out.” Winner will be first person do defeat a set number of
challengers.

Afterward the Tourney: "Mountaintop Sheep Melee" Get your team's Shepard
(who will be holding his Sheep) to hold the ring (Same rules as the tourney
above) for more time than the other team.

Archery- A fun shoot has been planned!

Thrown Weapons-- YES!!

Arts & Sciences: There will be competitions sponsored by each of the
canton's MoAS:

Canton of Tear Sea Shore's, Lady Alexandra Linden Gangfeyr: Best use of
making a modern item into a useful SCA item. Lets see you put the CREATIVE
items you have made to help you through the time spent in the past. ie:
cell phone cover made to look like a wax tablet, etc. Documentation is
encouraged: tell us how it was made. This does not have to be "period"

Canton of Misty Marsh, Lady Bridget O'Shay: Children's competition with the
best uses of black & white. The sky is the limit! We will break this out
into different age brackets. While documentation is not required, it could
get you extra points!

Incipient Canton of Moorhaven, Lord Hrothgar Ravensson: Scrolls, Kingdom,
Baronial & Backlogs

Friday evening the recreation hall will be open for period music and games.

There will be a bardic circle after feast on Saturday night, led by Lady
Maddalena Valeta. This will be held around the firepit.
