Today BBC has a great little story about the Sword of Carmarthen, presented to the town in 1546 by Henry VIII. The sword is still ceremonially carried before the Lord Mayor at official functions. Pretty neat. Nobody does pageantry like the English: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-wales-22471119
