The Battle of Hastings 1066
The troops are marshaled at Senlac Hill outside the little town of
Hastings, England.
Under Duke William II of Normandy the Normans and Flemish are on foot
and horseback.
There are masses of infantry, archers, and cavalry. The Anglo-Saxon army
remains true
to King Harold Godwinson.
The lines are drawn. the troops are placed. Where do your loyalties lie?
Will you abandon
your liege lord? Come and fight for the true side of might and right.

*MARTIAL ACTIVITIES*
Martial activities will include heavy armed combat, rapier, and archery
with a number of
scenarios.
*ARTS & SCIENCES*
Russian Embroidery and Decoration:
A workshop class designed to introduce the various types of embroidery,
cording, and weaving used to decorate Rus clothing. Attendees will receive
a small kit with supplies to embroider/decorate a needle case, or scissor
case, along with a handout covering what will be discussed in class.
There is no cost for this class.
There will also be classes in wire weaving, spinning, and weaving
classes and demonstrations.
*BREWING ACTIVITIES *
* The traditional open bar! Created by all the homebrewers& vintners
of Atlantia. We will open the bar BEFORE COURT, and keep it open during
court, during feast, and into the evening!
NOTE: Volunteers to be servers at the bar welcomed!
* The annual B&B&B Smackdown brewing competition between the Baronage of
Ponte Alto, Highland Foorde, and Storvik (Other Baronage welcomed to join!)
* Open brew competition between all groups. All brewers encouraged to
enter, a winning group will be determined based upon the quality (and
number of entrants from each group!) NO DOCUMENTATION REQUIRED (or even
requested), other than an ingredient list. This is specifically a
competition for the skill of brewing only.
*YOUTH*
There will also be activities for youth including their own non-alcoholic
brewing and judging; period games and a youth bardic
*BARDIC*
There will be a bardic full of song, stories, and laughter
*FOOD*
Breakfast Saturday is by donation
Lunch Saturday
Beef stew, vegetable soup, bread, cookies for a set fee
Fighter's Sideboard is provided by the generosity of a donor

* Meat Pies (provided by Baroness Margaret)
* Assorted figs (filled with marscapone, procscuitto, pistachios)
* Makerouns (A dish of noodles and cheese)
Dessert Remove (provided by Lord Iain)
* Pears in Wine Sauce
* Gingerbread with an applesauce topping
