Greetings,
Coronation is upon us... that also means that the Atlantian Garb Challenge:
A Historically Accurate Animated Disney
Princess/Character<https://www.facebook.com/events/159115560901310/?ref=2>
is
almost here as well. As a reminder, this is an opportunity to have a bit
of fun, while making some new garb. Participants choose their favorite
Disney Princess/Character and recreate a historically accurate outfit. There
is no limited of the time period or culture, as long it is within the scope
of the SCA. This is also not gender specific; everyone is strongly
encouraged to join in the fun. (This means that their is no need for
documentation... just have fun with it.) Please remember that this is not
an official event activity, it is a bit of fun amongst fellow Atlantians.
There will be five categories for the “winners,” keeping in mind this is
not your typical challenge. The categories are as follows:
1. *Overall ~* *The overall “winner” is the individual that is having
obvious fun with the challenge, they made their own garb, the garb is
period appropriate, and the garb is unique and creative in design. *
2.* Most Unique Garb ~ * *The individual that has the most unique and
creative garb, they are not required to have made their garb themselves.
*3. *Most Period Garb ~ * *The individual that has the most period
appropriate garb, they are not required to have made their garb themselves.
*4. *Most Colorful Garb ~ * *The individual that has the most colorful
garb, they are not required to have made their garb themselves.*
5. *Most Congenial Person ~ * *The individual that had the most fun with it
and shared their joy with everyone in a positive/infectious way, they are
not required to have made their garb themselves.*
Please find the judges, at your leisure, throughout the day and introduce
yourself. They will make note of your garb and your name. A herald will
beckon when it is time to announce the winner. To be safe, try to ensure
that you have talked to a judge prior to the final court of the day. The
judges will be announced prior to the event, and will be clearly marked as
a “Disney Challenge Judge.
Thank you for participating and most of all... thank you for taking the
time to have a bit of fun with friends.
